Why Spay & Neuter?
Spaying and neutering your pet has never been easier or cheaper!
ARF and Catman2 have teamed up to pay over half of the already low fees charged by the ASPCA Spay Neuter Alliance.
Spaying and neutering is good for your pet, and it means that fewer animals will be euthanized in local shelters.
It’s the responsible thing to do!
Did you know that one simple choice can make a life-changing difference for pets in Jackson, Macon, and Swain Counties?

ARF and Catman2 are working together to bring residents a low-cost spay and neuter program that keeps pets healthy, prevents unwanted litters, and helps reduce overcrowding in our local shelters.

Twenty years of low-cost spay/neuter!
ASPCA Spay/Neuter Alliance
The Humane Society of Jackson County (ARF) has transported companion animals to our spay/neuter clinic for twenty years. They help owners get their companion animals sterilized. Their level of professionalism and commitment to spay and neuter companion animals is exceeded by none of the forty animal welfare organizations we work with. For several years, their endeavors resulted in almost 700 sterilizations for publicly-owned animals…astounding!

I couldn't be more thankful to ARF. We've taken in 4 abandoned puppies since December 2023. It is a blessing to have the spay/neuter program. Puppies are incredibly expensive so having this is very helpful.
